Googleのシニア・ウェブマスターの John Mueller氏がtwitter上の質問に答えていました。 外部サイトから引用リンクされてのですが rel-canonical タグを入れていなかったのでマイナス評価となるか？という内容の質問でした。 この内容に関心のある人が多いのか、 John Mueller氏の答えに質問が相次ぎ、興味深かったので記事にまとめました。
I’m pretty sure none of that is mentioned in our webmaster guidelines — is there something specific you’re worried about which we mentioned in the webmaster guidelines? Just because links are placed without your input doesn’t make them bad (it usually makes them good, even).
Did you place those links there yourself, for example, by buying them? Just because a site isn’t as high-quality as yours doesn’t mean that links from it will harm your site in any way.
The problem isn’t that it’s a large part of my backlink profile. The problem is that if Google flags it as a suspicious link pattern, I’d prefer to not provide quotes to websites that tend to be scraped. But then I miss out on the original article’s authoritative backlink.?♀️
Google isn’t going to care about that – this kind of scraping happens, and in general, we deal with it reasonably.
It is, however, something you might have thoughts on yourself (do I want to allow it?), and being opinionated about how you want your content shown isn’t bad.
John Mueller氏は、リンク先の品質が低いからといってサイトに害を与える事は無ではないといっています。 リンクを購入する事自体はGoogleのガイドラインに違反しているので、そういったリンクがある場合は手動で否認する作業をする必要があると思います。 リンクの問題はSEO対策でも難しいポイントではあるので、無理なリンクではなく自然なリンクを増やす施策を考える必要があります。
